About Sunnybrook

Brokers. Engineers.
One impatient team.

Sunnybrook was built by people who shipped freight before they shipped code, and who got tired of waiting on quarterly release notes from a TMS that never quite worked.

Our mission

Set the standard for excellence in TMS software.

Sunnybrook is committed to delivering innovative, user-centric transportation management solutions that set the standard for excellence in TMS software.

Our story

A TMS, built the way brokers think.

Sunnybrook started with our founder, John Kuhlmann, running a brokerage in dry and liquid bulk freight. He needed a TMS that could sync both ways with QuickBooks and connect to the rest of his stack through open APIs.

He demoed more than 30 platforms. Every one made him choose: rigid workflows, closed data, or a "professional services" bill bigger than the software. None of them fit how a modern brokerage actually runs.

So he built the one he wanted. API-first, so your data is yours. Workflow-first, so dispatchers don't think about which screen they're on. Customer-first, so the feature you ask for ships in about two weeks, not two release cycles.

Today, Sunnybrook moves more than $1B in freight a year across brokerages of every size. We are based in the United States, headquartered in Kansas City, with a team that picks up the phone and a roadmap that gets shorter every Friday.

The difference

What you get from a team that runs on freight time.

API-first, always

Every screen sits on an open API, so your data stays yours and connects to whatever you already run.

Obsessive about UX

We tune the product around how your ops actually work, so the tool stays out of the way.

A US dev team in KC

Engineering and support sit in Kansas City and meet several times a week, so fixes and features move fast.

Every sprint ships ROI

We ship value every sprint, and buying the code gives enterprise teams a head start they own.

What we believe

EPIC², our eight values.

Two sets of four that guide how we build and how we treat the brokers we work with.

Excellence

We hold the product, and the support around it, to a high bar on every release.

Passion

We care about freight and the brokers who move it, not just the software.

Integrity

We show the number and the math. No pricing games, no surprises.

Curiosity

We keep asking how a broker's day could be simpler, then we build it.

Efficiency

We cut the busywork out of dispatch so your team moves faster.

Perseverance

Hard integrations and edge cases get finished, not shelved.

Innovation

We rebuilt the category once, and we keep pushing it forward.

Customer-centric

The feature you ask for is the feature we build, usually in about two weeks.

The team

The people you'll actually talk to.

No "engagement managers." No outsourced support. The person who demos Sunnybrook is the person who'll be there at go-live.
